Grand Circular Driveway with Pillar Entry in Glen Abbey
Grand circular driveway installation with decorative stone entry pillars, Techo-Bloc Blu pavers, and integrated coach lighting for a Glen Abbey executive home.
We designed an elliptical driveway with a central landscaped island featuring a specimen ornamental tree and low boxwood hedging. Techo-Bloc Blu 60mm pavers in Shale Grey were installed in a running bond pattern with a double soldier course border in Onyx Black. Two custom stone pillars flanking the entry point are topped with coach-style LED lanterns that activate at dusk. The driveway accommodates comfortable two-way traffic flow with dedicated guest parking areas.
The excavation revealed the heavy clay soil typical of inland Oakville, requiring an enhanced 18-inch granular base with geotextile fabric separation. The total paved area exceeds 1,200 square feet, making it one of the larger residential driveway projects we have completed in the Glen Abbey area. The installation maintains full compliance with Oakville's lot coverage bylaws.

How We Delivered This Project

Excavation & Base Preparation
Excavated to the required depth for Oakville's frost conditions and installed a compacted Granular A base with geotextile fabric separation over the local clay subsoil.
Paver Installation & Pattern Layout
Each paver was placed by hand following the approved pattern layout, with edge restraints, border courses, and all cuts made with diamond-blade saws for precision.
Jointing, Sealing & Handover
Polymeric sand was swept into all joints, the surface was compacted a final time, and sealant was applied. We provided care instructions and warranty documentation.
