Herringbone Paver Driveway Transformation in Port Credit
Complete driveway replacement with Unilock Artline pavers in a classic herringbone pattern for a Port Credit lakefront home. The project included demolition of the existing asphalt surface, full granular base installation, and decorative soldier course borders.
We excavated to 18 inches below grade to accommodate Mississauga's clay-over-sand soil profile common in the Port Credit waterfront area. The base consists of compacted Granular A aggregate topped with a 1-inch HPB levelling course. We installed Unilock Artline pavers in a 45-degree herringbone pattern with charcoal soldier course borders and a contrasting accent band at the garage threshold. The drainage was re-engineered to direct runoff away from the home's foundation toward the municipal storm system.
The completed driveway accommodates two vehicles with a dedicated pedestrian walkway along the south edge. Polymeric sand joints and a professional-grade sealer provide long-term protection against Mississauga's salt exposure and seasonal weather. The homeowners reported immediate improvement in curb appeal and received compliments from neighbours within the first week.
